2016 NLCS Game 6 Throwback: Kyle Hendricks Dominates, Cubs Advance to World Series

With Kyle Hendricks signing a 4-year extension yesterday, we think it’s a great time for a throwback of one of his best pitching performances as a Cub!

Game 6 of the 2016 NLCS at Wrigley, the Cubs lead the series 3-2 over the Dodgers. Win and the Cubs advance to their first World Series since 1945. Joe Maddon went with the 2016 ace, Kyle Hendricks, to close out this series.

The Cubs offense was churning early with 2 runs in the first. Those runs went a long way as Kyle Hendricks dominated the game. “The Professor” struck out 6 in 7 1/3 innings, allowing just a pair of hits. Kyle kept the Dodgers off the board in savvy ways, sending the Cubs to our first World Series in 71 years! We all know how that went.
