The Cubs have 3 big bullpen arms down, all on the 10-day injured list with separate injuries. Just when the Cubs can’t catch an injury break, outfielder Jason Heyward is now dealing with right knee inflammation, considered to be day-to-day as of Wednesday.
Here are injury updates on Heyward, Craig Kimbrel, Steve Cishek, and Brandon Kintzler:
Heyward felt some pain in his knee in the middle of the night. Felt better today as he took swings but fig better to give it a day. Does not expect an IL stint. Wasn’t sure when he hurt it.
