Thursday was a mixed day for offense and pitching in the Cubs farm system.

Single-A South Bend

Cubs fell to Fort Wayne 12-6.

  • #30 prospect, SS Andy Weber went 3-for-5 with 3 RBI. Weber is 7-for-19 with 10 RBI in his last 4 games.
  • #5 prospect, OF Cole Roederer went 2-for-5 with 2 runs scored.
  • 3B Levi Jordan went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI and a run scored.

Pelicans fell to Carolina 3-1.

  • #6 prospect, SS Aramis Ademan went 2-for-4 with 1 RBI. Ademan is 7-for-13 in his last 4 games with 3 RBI.
  • LHP Luis Lugo pitched 4.0 innings in relief, allowing just a pair of hits and one earned run. Lugo struck out eight and walked three.
  • OF Zach Davis went 2-for-2. Davis is batting .316 through 38 at-bats this season.

Double-A Tennessee

Smokies fell to Jacksonville 4-0.

  • #19 prospect, RHP Tyson Miller tossed 6.0 innings, allowing seven hits and two earned runs. Miller struck out four and walked two. Through 4 starts this season, he’s allowed just 3 earned runs in 19.0 innings with 16 strikeouts.
  • #29 prospect, C Jhonny Pereda went 2-for-3 with a walk.

Triple-A Iowa

Cubs beat Nashville 8-4.

  • SS Addison Russell went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI and a walk.
  • OF Johnny Field went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI and a run scored. Field is 9-for-23 in his last 6 games with 11 RBI. For the season, he’s batting .300 in 17 games.
  • 1B Jim Adduci went 1-for-3 with 1 RBI and 2 runs scored. Adduci is 6-for-14 in his last 4 games with 7 RBI.
