Smokies fell to Chattanooga 4-1.
- #22 prospect, RHP Oscar De La Cruz fired 6.0 shutout innings. De La Cruz allowed just a pair of hits and a walk while striking out seven. He’s off to a phenomenal start this season, 1-1 with a 1.04 ERA in 5 starts.
- #29 prospect, C Jhonny Pereda went 2-for-4 with 1 RBI.
Triple-A Iowa
Cubs beat Memphis 7-4.
- RHP Matt Swarmer picked up the quality start and win. Swarmer went 6.0 innings, allowing five hits and three earned runs. He struck out three and walked none.
- 1B Phillip Evans went 2-for-4 with a 3-run homer.
- OF Jacob Hannemann went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI in his 3rd game this season.
- 3B Robel Garcia went 3-for-5 with 2 runs scored. Garcia was just called-up to Iowa on Thursday. He is batting .307 with 6 homers and 28 RBI in 24 games this season.
