Smokies beat Birmingham 5-1.
- #19 prospect, RHP Tyson Miller dominated again. Miller tossed 7.0 innings, allowing five hits and one earned run. He struck out three and walked none. Miller is 2-1 with a 0.94 ERA through 7 starts.
- #29 prospect, C Jhonny Pereda went 1-for-1 with 1 RBI and 2 walks.
- 3B P.J. Higgins went 2-for-4 with 1 RBI and a walk. Higgins is batting .377 with 3 homers and 12 RBI through 31 games.
