Single-A South Bend

Rained out.

High-A Myrtle Beach

Pelicans fell to Carolina 9-7.

  • #6 prospect, 2B/SS Aramis Ademan went 1-for-3 with 1 RBI.
  • DH Grant Fennell went 3-for-4 with a 3-run homer.
  • OF Kevonte Mitchell went 1-for-2 with a 2-run homer and 2 walks.

Double-A Tennessee

Smokies beat Birmingham 5-1.

  • #19 prospect, RHP Tyson Miller dominated again. Miller tossed 7.0 innings, allowing five hits and one earned run. He struck out three and walked none. Miller is 2-1 with a 0.94 ERA through 7 starts.
  • #29 prospect, C Jhonny Pereda went 1-for-1 with 1 RBI and 2 walks.
  • 3B P.J. Higgins went 2-for-4 with 1 RBI and a walk. Higgins is batting .377 with 3 homers and 12 RBI through 31 games.
  • SS Luis Vazquez went 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Triple-A Iowa

Cubs fell to Omaha 4-3.

  • CF Ian Happ went 1-for-3 with 2 walks and a run scored.
  • C Victor Caratini went 1-for-5.
  • RHP Colin Rea took the loss despite allowing five hits and one earned run over 5.0 innings. Rea struck out five and walked one. He has allowed just 2 earned runs in his last 3 starts (15 2/3 innings).
  • 3B Robel Garcia went 1-for-2 with 1 RBI and 2 walks. Garcia is batting .311 with 6 homers and 29 RBI in 25 games this season. He has reached base in all but 3 games this season.
