Sunday was a massive day for offense in the Cubs farm system. The affiliates combined for 40 runs in 4 games, the most since April 28th where it was 49 combined runs in 6 games. Today’s combined number averages out to a whopping 10.0 runs per game, the highest in a long time.

Single-A South Bend

Cubs beat West Michigan 11-10 in 11 innings.

  • #26 prospect, 3B Chris Morel went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI.
  • 1B Tyler Durna went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI.

High-A Myrtle Beach

Pelicans fell to Wilmington 6-5.

  • #6 prospect, SS Aramis Ademan went 3-for-4 with 1 RBI. Ademan is now batting .275 with 21 RBI in 41 games this season.
  • 3B Cam Balego went 1-for-3 with 1 RBI.

Double-A Tennessee

Smokies fell to Pensacola 11-10.

  • OF/1B Jared Young went 4-for-5 with 2 RBI. Young is batting .283 with 27 RBI in 44 games this season.
  • 3B Jesse Hodges went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI.
  • OF Roberto Caro went 3-for-6 with a solo homer for a total of 2 RBI.

Triple-A Iowa

Cubs beat New Orleans 14-10.

  • CF Ian Happ went 3-for-5 with 1 RBI.
  • 1B Jim Adduci went 3-for-6 with 6 RBI.
  • 3B Robel Garcia went 1-for-4 with 2 RBI and a walk. Garcia now has 38 RBI in 39 games this season.
