- OF Edmond Americaan went 3-for-5 with a 3-run homer for a total of 4 RBI. Americaan has driven in 6 runs in his last 3 games.
- 1B Grayson Byrd went 2-for-3 with 4 RBI and 2 walks.
Single-A South Bend
Cubs shutout Dayton 1-0.
- RHP Cam Sanders was excellent per usual for South Bend. Sanders gave up a lone single. He struck out 5 and walked none. Sanders is 4-4 with a 3.41 ERA in 13 starts this season.
- 3B Fidel Mejia went 1-for-4 with the lone RBI.
- OF Brennen Davis went 1-for-4 with a triple! Davis is hitting .300 with 4 homers, 3 triples, 17 RBI, and 16 walks in 37 games this season.
High-A Myrtle Beach
Pelicans fell to Lynchburg 5-3.
- C Tyler Payne went 2-for-4 with 1 RBI and a walk.
- 3B Cam Balego went 3-for-5.
Double-A Tennessee
Smokies beat Montgomery 4-2.
- RHP Jeff Passantino continued his incredible success with his 4th Cubs affiliate in the last 30 days. Passantino worked through 8 hits in 5.0 innings, allowing just 2 runs. He struck out 5 and walked none. Passantino is now 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA in 3 starts this season.
- 1B Jared Young went 1-for-3 with a 3-run homer.
- SS Nico Hoerner went 1-for-3. Hoerner is 4-for-12 with 3 RBI since returning to Tennessee from his Arizona rehab.
Triple-A Iowa
Cubs fell to Memphis 5-4.
- RHP Adbert Alzolay struggled in his 1st start since being sent down. Alzolay couldn’t make it out of the 4th, allowing 4 hits, 3 walks, and 5 earned runs. It’ll take time for Alzolay to adjust back to the Minors and he could’ve caught a hot-hitting AAA team.
- OF Donnie Dewees went 1-for-4 with a 2-run homer.
