Cubs Starting Lineup (4/30): Cole Hamels Opens Quick 2-Game Series vs. Mariners

After an off-day Monday, the Cubs start a quick 2-game road series against Seattle tonight at 9:10 pm CST on NBC Sports Chicago.

Here is tonight’s Cubs Starting Lineup:

  1. Daniel Descalso 2B
  2. Kris Bryant LF
  3. Anthony Rizzo 1B
  4. Javy Baez SS
  5. David Bote 3B
  6. Jason Heyward RF
  7. Willson Contreras C
  8. Kyle Schwarber DH
  9. Albert Almora Jr. CF

As you would expect, Schwarber gets the start at DH. Cole Hamels is the starting pitcher after an average start his last time out. Hamels went 5 1/3 innings, allowing three hits and three earned runs. He struck out seven but walked a season-high six. Through 5 starts this season, Hamels is 3-0 with a 3.16 ERA.
