Javy Baez and Willson Contreras will be starting for the NL in the All-Star game once again!
Baez and Contreras were announced as the starters in Thursday night’s All-Star Game starter reveal show.
Javy Baez is having another great season, hitting .286 with 19 homers and 52 RBI.
Willson Contreras has been a beast this season, posting a .300 average with 17 home runs and 48 RBI.
The pair was selected as starters in last year’s All-Star game as well.

- Javy Baez and Willson Contreras are the first Cubs teammates to start in back-to-back All-Star Games since Ryne Sandberg and Andre Dawson in 1990-91.
- Willson Contreras is the first Cubs catcher to start in back-to-back All-Star Games since Gabby Hartnett in 1936-37.
- Javy Baez is 4th player in MLB history to start at different positions in back-to-back years.
