Maryland will have a new starting quarterback on Saturday against Purdue. Terrapins coach Mike Locksley announced on Tuesday that Tyrrell Pigrome will make the start:
Maryland coach Mike Locksley announces that Tyrrell Pigrome will start against Purdue and that Josh Jackson, who suffered a “mid to high ankle sprain” against Rutgers is still “day to day”.

Jackson has been solid this season, passing for 968 yards and 10 touchdowns in 5 games. His best performances came in the first 2 weeks, with 541 combined passing yards and 7 combined touchdowns.
With Josh Jackson just being ‘day to day’ with a mid to high ankle sprain, we still could see Jackson on Saturday. Just not as the starting quarterback.
Maryland kicks off in West Lafayette at 12:00 pm EST on the Big Ten Network.
